4 Posts. #2 · Jun 23, 2009. Had the same problem too. Found mine to be a bad connector @ the heater speed control resistor under the right dash @ the floor level. Mine would make/break causing the blower motor to cut-out whenever it wanted. Finally the connector became arched so badly inside the circuit opened & the blower quit altogether.The relay itself wasn't bad as there are two of the same relay in that block and the blower wouldn't work with either installed in that position. But I got the idea from somewhere to jump the relay out and the blower/controls would work again. Did it with a paper clip just to test it out quick.Posts: 901. Re: A/C Intermittent Blower Issue. The first & easiest thing to check is the 3 wire connector on the back of the mode switch. Check for melting & signs of excessive heat there & make sure all 3 terminals are making good tight contact between the male & female halves. 2nd, I'd be surprised if the intermittent part had to do with the blower motor. They are pretty hard to kill as long as you put a drop or 2 of oil on them when they start making noise. I'd check the blower motor resistor. It's mounted right next to the blower motor. It has 2 screws holding it in and has a harness with 4 wires.
